%X this article goes into the topic of masochism, based on data from the biography and work of sacher-masoch, described in the writing of gilles deleuze. readers of deleuze's venus in furs will learn that sacher-masoch points out the formal, aesthetic and contractual aspects of masochism, proposed by deleuze. we justify the importance of directly reading sacher-masoch to glean aspects of the logic of masochism that have not been taken into account in recent studies on the topic.
