%0 Journal Article %T DIAGN¨®STICO DIFERENCIAL DE LAS MASAS PULMONARES: NEUMON¨ªA REDONDA %A Moreno Ru¨ªz %A Nelson Leandro %J Revista Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia %D 2011 %I Universidad Nacional de Colombia %X the presence of a round lesion in radiography of the thorax should always lead to neoplasia being suspected; however, round pneumonia should be taken into account in differential diagnosis. it is an unusual form of pneumonia which is presented in adults, only being seen in 1% of cases, and may be associated, or not, with symptoms of acute infection and can only be accurately diagnosed by radiological and not by clinical evolution. the case of a patient having symptoms of acute infection and a round radiological lesion is presented. the patient received antibiotic treatment leading to improvement of the clinical picture, but without radiological changes leading to a pulmonary biopsy being made %K pneumonia %K radiography %K infecion %K diagnosis %K lung injury %K biopsy. %U http://www.scielo.org.co/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0120-00112011000100005&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
