%X this article provides a new view of enterprise association model in agricultural production chains, through a biological metaphor proposal of microbial consortia. it collects various implementation cases of the metaphor as a methodology for organization study and their problems, as well as, nature, characteristics and fundaments of both microbial consortia and agricultural production chains. a metaphor is formulated between this two knowledge fields, based on the principles of general system theory. the document concludes exposing advantages and limitations of this conceptual methodology for agricultural production chains case.
