%0 Journal Article %T Obtenci¨®n de un conjugado l¨¢tex inmunoglobulina para el diagn¨®stico de Gardnerella vaginalis %A Espinosa %A Ivette %A ¨¢lvarez %A Elba %A Amaral %A Cintia %A Alonso %A Magaly %A Lorenzo %A Mait¨¦ %J Revista Cubana de Medicina Tropical %D 2000 %I Centro Nacional de Informaci¨®n de Ciencias M¨¦dicas %X to obtain an anti-gardnerella vaginalis latex globuline, specific immunosera to reference strain (atcc 14018) and to a clinical isolation strain pool were produced. these inmunosera were characterized using page-sds and inmunoblotting where a close antigenic relation between the clinical isolation strains and the reference strain was observed. the latex globuline conjugates obtained from these 2 inmunosera were evaluated in vitro with a resulting level of detection of 10 ufc/ml of gardnerella vaginalis. these two conjugates were also evaluated in clinical samples and compared with the 6 vaginalis culture and the criteria considered for diagnosing bacterial vaginosis. the anti-strain pool (ii) latex globuline conjugate turned out to be more sensitive and specific than anti-g. vaginalis atcc strain (i) latex globuline. %K gardnerella vaginalis [isolation and purification] %K vaginosis %K bacterial [diagnosis] %K latex fixation tests. %U http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0375-07602000000200004&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
