%0 Journal Article %T Estudio bacteriol¨®gico en pacientes fallecidos por hechos violentos %A Iglesias Duquesne %A Magaly Miriam %A Walwyn Salas %A Ver¨®nica %A Montero Gonz¨¢lez %A Teresita %A Nadarse Hern¨¢n %A Rafael %A Vald¨¦s P¨¦rez %A Francisca %A P¨¦rez Bomboust %A Isela %J Revista Cubana de Medicina Militar %D 2006 %I ECIMED %X a bacteriological study of patients who died from violent events from february 1987 to february 1988 was performed in various departments of ¡°dr luis d¨ªaz soto¡± higher institute of military medicine whose pathological anatomy service was in charge of necropsy. blood samples were collected for organ hemoculture (skin, lung and liver) before the necropsy, with the objective of specifying the causative agents of nosocomial infection. the most significant result was a higher predisposition to infection after 48 hours of hospitalization in health centers. the direct cause of infectious death was seen in burned patients. the reliability of positive results depended on the shorter period of time from death to the collection of samples. the most frequently germs were psudomona, kiebsella, enterobacter, escherichia coli, providencia, acinetobacter and proteus sp. %K nosocomial infection %K violent infectious death %K sepsis. %U http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0138-65572006000200004&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
