%X a descriptive study was conducted to evaluate the outbreaks of the disease occurred in human beings and animals in the province of ciego de ¨¢vila from 1980 to 2003. it was proved in this paper that the measures taken in animal health and public health have managed to reduce the frequency of outbreaks.
