%0 Journal Article %T Fragmentaci¨®n del suelo para la plantaci¨®n de la ca£¿a de az¨²car en cantero %A Betancourt Rodr¨ªguez %A Yoel %A Guti¨¦rrez Morales %A Arnaldo %A Garc¨ªa Ru¨ªz %A Inoel %A Ponce Salazar %A Jorge Lu¨ªs %J Revista Ciencias T£¿£¿cnicas Agropecuarias %D 2012 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X with the objective of determining the degree of soil fragmentation for sugarcane mound plantation, an experiment on a vertic gley typical soil, located in areas of the sugarcane experimental station ¡°jes¨²s men¨¦ndez¡± was carried out. the difference in the soil fragmentation of the treatments was achieved varying the passes of fine harrow at the end of the soil preparation. once the aggregate distribution was defined, the mound was characterized as for its dimensions before and after the cane pieces were covers, as it is settled down in the technical handbook for this crop, the cover thickness and bud sprouting percentages were also evaluated. the results showed that the soil fragmentation with 70% of aggregates smaller than 50 mm fulfills the established requirements for mound plantation, achieving a mound height before and after the plantation of 0,20 m, a depth of the furrow of 0,11 m and a cover thickness of 0,05 m, as well as, 49% percentage of bud sprouting, according to what is stated for cuban conditions. %K mound %K sugar cane plantation %K aggregate distribution. %U http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S2071-00542012000300007&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
