%0 Journal Article %T Hidroqu¨ªmica del agua superficial de la subcuenca del r¨ªo Quiscab, Guatemala %A Padilla C¨¢mbara %A Tom¨¢s Antonio %A Garc¨ªa ¨¢lvarez %A Nancy %J Revista Ciencias T£¿£¿cnicas Agropecuarias %D 2012 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X a research was done to know the hydrochemical type of water of tributary rivers to quiscab sub-basin, in two seasons of the year in order to define if its chemical characteristics are influenced by geological material or by people activities which provoke pollution. with these results may it can be determined if chemical compounds, aftermath of this phenomenon, were dissolved and moved to superficial water streams. in order to study this assumption, contents of calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium ions (major cations) and carbonate, bicarbonate, chloride and sulfate ions (major anions) were considered. contents of these ions were calculated and expressed in cations and anions percent using piper diagram through easy_quim.3 program. the tests showed the ionic content of water in the two times evaluated, which showed a bicarbonate-carbonate character , maybe caused by geological material present in the area of study, which has suffered a dilution and bicarbonates reactions processes when it had contact with rivers water, as well as, by the presence of calcium and magnesium ions. the sulfated and sodic waters may have its origin in anthropogenic activities. %K hidroqu¨ªmica %K disoluci¨®n %K contaminaci¨®n %K hydrochemistry %K dissolution %K pollution. %U http://scielo.sld.cu/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S2071-00542012000400004&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
