Abstract

The French writer André Malraux has multiple identities. He is not only a writer, but also a politician, art critic, novelist and philosopher involved in politics. His early novels are based on the Far East, including his most famous novel The Destiny of Man. The work takes the Shanghai workers’ movement in 1927 as the theme, describes a series of activities carried out by some characters represented by Jing to resist fate, and creates a number of characters with the brand of André Malraux’s doctrine. This paper analyzes the artistic characteristics of the combination of the virtuality and reality through the interpretation of his work The Destiny of Man.
