Abstract

According to the universal desire to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and sustainable energy supply to meet the increasing need of energy for human, many efforts have been made for the development of renewable energy including wind power as the most reliable forms of energy has ancient history in order to build enormous power plants had a significant boom in its use in recent decades. This has led to many studies done on different types of wind turbines. The study attempted to make an example of vertical axis wind turbine H-rotor type and test it in the wind tunnel has been paid. Turbine design has been modeled by Gambit software and checking the fluid flow around the turbine with Fluent software with various numerical methods and choosing the best method was carried out. Then the turbine tested in the wind tunnel and theoretical and experimental results compared to each other and the percentage of error calculated.
