Abstract

Today, it is expected that students will be able to research, reach critical attitudes and produce ideas in the face of events. The PISA results are unfortunately not in any case open to any country, especially in the field of science. Our students seem to be quite unsuccessful, especially in high-ranking mental skills and problem solving questions. The learning environment and teaching materials need to be regulated to develop high-level skills. Scenario-based learning is one of the ways in which students develop problem-solving skills, enable life to move into a structured learning environment, and enable students to take an active role in the process. In the study, the impact of probabilistic scenarios supported by worksheets on the attitudes of 9th grade students to chemistry lessons, their worries related to their lack of using a laboratory, and their problem solving perceptions. It was found that the application made with the t-test did not bring any significant difference over any variables, but the improvements in observation and interviews were also noticed.
