Determination of Attitudes Toward Technology for Class Teacher Candidates

Abstract

Today, rapidly developing technology is used intensively in the education process. For this reason, it is very important to determine the attitudes of the classroom teachers who are teachers of the future to the technology. The study universe of the research for this purpose constitutes the class teacher candidates who are studying at Mu?la S?tk? Ko?man University. It constitutes the sample of the 151 class teacher candidates selected by the appropriate sampling method in the specified stage. The "Technology Attitude Scale" developed by Ayd?n and Karaa (2013) was used as a data collection tool in order to determine the attitudes of primary school teachers towards technology. As a result of the research which was designed with cross-sectional screening model, it was found that male teacher candidates had higher holding towards technology, and possessing personal computer had no effect on holding on to technology. However, it has been found that those who use personal computers for 6 years or more have developed a higher attitude toward technology than those who have spent less time and never used personal computers.
