%X the aim of this paper is to describe the strategies of focalization in brazilian portuguese, observing the syntax-phonology interface. i defend the independence of prosody in the materialization of the phenomenon and, for this, i suggest a 'bilateral moderate dissocicionist' connection beetween this two subsystems of grammar.
