%X this article analyzes some of the spanish terminology in nineteenth century bilingual publications, in order, firstly, to confirm the success of their thematic organization in second language vocabulary acquisition, and, secondly, to contribute to the production of historical bilingual dictionaries of spanish and other languages, given that the data analyzed for this study was written in spanish and french (le petit n¨¦cessaire des fran£¿ais qui vont en espagne y la langue espagnole apprise sans ma£¿tre en 30 le£¿ons), spanish and english (gu¨ªa para la conversaci¨®n en espa£¿ol e ingl¨¦s y gram¨¢tica espa£¿ola inglesa), spanish and italian (gramatica della lingua spagnuola) and spanish and basque (m¨¦todo pr¨¢ctico para ense£¿ar el castellano).
