Journal of basic and applied genetics %D 2009 %I Scientific Electronic Library Online %X a preview genotoxic biomonitoring was carried out from a random sample in workers daily exposed to pesticides. soy bean cultivation is the main activity of these rural workers from c¨®rdoba. the total chromosomal aberrations (ca)/100 cells in the exposed group was 11.50¡À4.33 and 7.71¡À3.45 including and excluding gaps respectively, statistically different (p<0.05) from the reference group (5.25¡À2.77 and 2.58¡À1.83). the most commonly pesticides used by the exposed group were glyphosate, cipermetrine and atrazine. the total amount of aberrant cells in the exposed group was 11.21¡À3.87 and 7.50¡À3.00 including and excluding gaps respectively, statistically different (p<0.05) from the reference group (5.08¡À2.71 and 2.58¡À1.83 ). these findings showed the risk factor that represents pesticides exposure to human health in the studied group, compared with the reference group. %K plaguicidas %K aberraciones cromos¨®micas %K biomonitoreo. %U http://www.scielo.org.ar/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S1852-62332009000100002&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
