%X the aim of this article is to make an analysis of the concept of psychopathy, bearing in mind the implication of the concept in the study of criminal behaviour. we analyze the most important factors that characterize the several perspectives related with the conceptualization of psychopathy: the clinical, categorical, typological and dimensional perspectives of the concept. is also discussed the impact, both theoretical and empirical, of the aspects that are defined as essential in the definition of psychopathy, for each of the approaches presented.
