%0 Journal Article %T Impacto del Programa de Evaluaci¨®n Externa de la Calidad en Qu¨ªmica Cl¨ªnica en M¨¦xico de 2004 a 2008 %A Vargas Morales %A Juan Manuel %A Cano Escalante %A Juan Jes¨²s %A Fragoso Morales %A Lilia Esperanza %J Acta bioqu£¿-mica cl£¿-nica latinoamericana %D 2010 %I Federaci¨®n Bioqu¨ªmica de la Provincia de Buenos Aires %X the impact of the external quality assessment program, applicable to clinical laboratories in the area of clinical chemistry in mexico, was studied, based on laboratory results during the march 2008-february 2009 cycle and the 2004-2008 period, through analytical, longitudinal, retrospective analyses of the results obtained by the laboratories that participated in the external quality assessment program of the school of chemical sciences of universidad aut¨®noma de san luis potos¨ª. statistical analysis was performed with microsoft£¿ office excel and epi info t programs. the percentage of cl¨ªnical laboratories with acceptable performance (excellent and good) by analyte during the evaluation cycle in march 2008-february 2009 was 75% to 82%, wh¨ªch ¨ªncreased when automated and sem¨ªautomated methods were used. for the 2004-2008 period, the laboratories, in 2004, had 3.02 times greatet risk of not qualifying with acceptable performance (p<0.05) than in 2008. in conclusi¨®n, the external qual¨ªty assessment of the school of chem¨ªcal sciences of universidad aut¨®noma de san luis potos¨ª has had a strong impact on the overall performance of clinical laboratories, wh¨ªch ensures the latter's qual¨ªty. %K external qual¨ªty assessment program %K clinical laboratories %K clinical chemistry %K acceptable performance %K m¨¦xico. %U http://www.scielo.org.ar/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0325-29572010000300006&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
