%X summary with martin heidegger, the concept hermeneutic circle is familiar in the philosophy and theology fields. it appears in being and time, being the difference between "hermeneutic circle" and "vicious circle". the concept is analyzed by philosophers like paul ricoeur and hans-georg gadamer. in the theological scope rudolf bultmann applies it and, by way of practical exercise, it is applied by juan luis segundo. there, "prejudice" plays an important part as pre-structure of comprehension. the present piece of work analyzes the vindication of prejudice in the hermeneutic of hans-georg gadamer, his criticism to the enlightenment and its description of the comprehension as the inter-insight between tradition and the exponent of that movement. for this, the base text is gadamer¡äs true and method i, volume ii, chapter i: "the historicity of the comprehension as a hermeneutical principle". from gadamer¡äs exposition four principles that define his hermeneutical theory are extracted.
