%0 Journal Article %T Osteoss¨ªntese distal de t¨ªbia por transfixa£¿£¿o t¨ªbio-tarsal em pequenos animais %A Teixeira %A Marcelo Weinstein %A Schossler %A Jo£¿o Eduardo %A Alievi %A Marcelo Meller %J Acta Cirurgica Brasileira %D 1999 %I Sociedade Brasileira para o Desenvolvimento da Pesquisa em Cirurgia %R 10.1590/S0102-86501999000400006 %X there were 15 animal used, 11 dogs and 4 cats, all carriers of fracture of distal tibial, treated by tibio-tarsal imobilization with an external skeletal fixation. the apparatus£¿ configuration in the maiority of the cases consisted of two pins in the proximal portion of the tibia, one or two in the calcaneo and one or two pins in the metatarsianos, all connected by an autopolimerized acrylic bars. the apparatus was removed on the average of 45 days, when it was observed by x-ray the disappearance of the bone fracture line. fourteen animals (93,3%) had total functional recuperation of operated member, with perfect movement, one week after the remotion of the fixed apparatus. due to the obtained results, it could be affirmed that the technique is efficient in the correction of the fractures of the distal tibial, including those exposed. %K tibia %K external fixators %K fractures %K open %K orthopedics. %U http://www.scielo.br/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&pid=S0102-86501999000400006&lng=en&nrm=iso&tlng=en
