%0 Journal Article %T A Social Problem: Individual and Group Rape %A Nicola Malizia %J Advances in Applied Sociology %P 95-114 %@ 2165-4336 %D 2017 %I Scientific Research Publishing %R 10.4236/aasoci.2017.73006 %X The terms that describe a non-consensual sexual behavior such as rape, sexual abuse or sexual violence are very different, as are the negative effects on a victim of a physical and psychic nature, taking into account the different approaches of the attacker. The consent of the victim is absent or obtained by the attacker with physical and/or psychological violence; but it is also possible that the victim is unconscious or incapable of understanding. Those guilty of sexual offenses fall into a special category that is called ¡°sex offenders¡± within which there is a diversification of ways concerning the manner, degree and motivations.
