The crown ceremony was the initiation of adult; it was a general ceremony in Han Dynasty. The folk crown ceremony was not the same with the details of the ritual classics. Although the crown itself is only a headwear, in the symbolic meaning of Confucian culture, it is an emphasis on the social responsibility of an adult, as well as the behavior and their manners. The crown ceremony means that the man who wears the crown has to behaving himself and takes his responsibility. The crown costume is the dignity of an adult, especially the officials.
