revolution is regarded as the basis of industry 4.0. This paper describes the
vision of Industry 4.0 and presents 6 characteristics of equipment for Industry
4.0 which include interoperability, virtualization, decentralization, real-time
capability, service orientation and modularity. Finally, inspiration from the 6
characteristics is displayed.</span>
