唐朝是我国历史上非常重要的一个王朝，唐朝的建立和发展对后世产生了极为深远的影响。从武德年间到贞观年间，长孙无忌作为一名不可或缺的人物活跃在唐朝的政治舞台上。玄武门之变，长孙无忌开始在政治舞台上显露头角；主持编修《贞观律》，奠定我国封建刑法的规范；协助唐太宗处理民族关系，促进社会经济的发展和维护国家政治的统一；力拥晋王、顾命佐政。长孙无忌的这一系列政治活动对唐初的政治态势起了非常大的影响，这其中，既有积极影响，也不乏消极影响。他在玄武门事变中的作为在某种程度上是对传统嫡长子继承制的挑战，所主持编修的律法对古代刑法规范具有重要意义。然而在立储事件中，长孙无忌的作为在一定程度上却是他贪恋权势的一种反映；唐太宗晚年，虽然他仍得太宗信任，但却缺乏直言力谏的勇气和魄力。<br/>The Tang Dynasty is a momentous period in the Chinese history, the establishment and develop-ment of which has a profound impact on later ages. Grandson Mowgli is an indispensable figure, being active on the political stage during the periods of Wude and Zhenguan of Tang Dynasty. He first came to prominence after Xuanwu Gate Incident. He presided over the edit of Zhenguan Lv, which laid a foundation for the feudal norms of Chinese criminal law. He assisted Emperor Taizong in dealing with ethnic relations, promoting economical development and maintaining national unity. He pledged loyalty to Emperor Jin and spared no effort in assisting him in governing the country. All his political activities had significant impacts on the early period of Tang’s political situation, including both positive effects and negative effects. His action in Xuanwu Gate Incident, to some extent, was a challenge to the hereditary system. Thus, the law revised was of great significance to the ancient norm of criminal law. However, in the event of choosing the crown prince, his greed for power can be reflected. In the late period of Taizong, he still owned Taizong’s trust, but he was lack of the bravery of expostulation.
