The ratio of maternal mortality in Indonesia is still high (384/100,000 live birth). Many factors are influencing the maternal mortality, among others, too late in knowing the risk and make decision for referal, too late in reaching the referral facilities and too late to get adequate care-at referral facilities. Proportion of the complication is 20% of total delivery but only less then 10% can be handled. Therefore we need to study the factors related to the complication of delivery in the last three years in Indonesia. Through the data of the follow up study of the pregnant women and to predict the incidence of complication of delivery. This is an analytic study with cross sectional design. The samples are all pregnant women who have delivered was in 1998 to 2000, with 240 cases of samples. The result was 24% of delivery were experiencing complications. Most complications were due to long duration of labor (15%). According to the age of group, 28% were less then 20 years old and over 35 years old have experienced complications of delivery. A total of 22% of deliveries were not assisted by health professionals and didn't take plase in a health facility. Of women who had complications, in delivery 36% experienced on complication during pregnancy. The pregnant women with high risk are 2.9 times more of risk to have complication of delivery compared to women who didn't experience the complication. The risks of having complication of delivery are 3.2 times if the women during the pregnancy have experienced the complication. The probability to have complication of delivery is 44% if the women has experienced a complication of pregnancy and living in a rural area. %K Complication %K Delivery %K Pregnancy %U http://ejournal.litbang.depkes.go.id/index.php/BPK/article/view/1224
