%X Cet article s¡¯efforce de comprendre les raisons de l¡¯absence d¡¯une boh¨¨me litt¨¦raire de droite en Isra l. Au-del¨¤ des facteurs structurels li¨¦s ¨¤ l¡¯association naturelle de la boh¨¨me avec la gauche, soit comme un choix par d¨¦faut soit comme un terme marqu¨¦, le conservatisme inh¨¦rent ¨¤ la litt¨¦rature droiti¨¨re est incompatible avec la renonciation au pass¨¦ qui caract¨¦rise souvent les lettres isra¨¦liennes. En outre, la boh¨¨me de gauche en Isra l ne tarit pas de critiques vis-¨¤-vis de son propre pays. Cette pr¨¦occupation brille par son absence dans les ¨¦crits souvent partisans ¨¦manant de la droite. Enfin, la r¨¦ception de la litt¨¦rature isra¨¦lienne hors d¡¯Isra l favorise nettement la boh¨¨me litt¨¦raire de gauche au point qu¡¯on voit se dessiner une r¨¦partition compl¨¦mentaire entre la droite aux commandes du pays et la gauche, ma tresse presque exclusive du Parnasse isra¨¦lien. This article tries to understand why a right-wing literary Bohemianism failed to emerge in Israel. Besides the structural reasons connected with the natural association of Bohemianism with the Left, either as a default choice or as a marked option, the conservatism inherent to right-wing oriented literature is incompatible with modern Israeli attempt to get rid of the tradition. Moreover, what makes left-wing Israeli Bohemianism more credible is its constant need of self-criticism, a concern that blatantly lacks in the partisan writing emanating from the Right. Lastly, the reception abroad obviously favors left-wing Israeli Bohemianism to the extent that there might be a complementary distribution of functions between right-wing politics and left-wing literature in contemporary Israel.
