%0 Journal Article %T The Relations of Transformational Leadership and Empowerment with Student Perceived Academic Performance: A Study among Indian Commerce Students %A A Gill %J Business and Economics Journal %D 2011 %I %X This paper examines the relations of transformational leadership and empowerment with student perceived academicperformance. Indian students enrolled in business management program at colleges and universities in Punjab and Delhi areasof India were surveyed to find out their perceptions as to whether transformational leadership used by faculty members andempowerment improve student perceived academic performance. Positive relationships between i) student perceivedtransformational leadership used by instructors/professors and student perceived academic performance, and ii) studentperceived empowerment and student perceived academic performance were found.
