%X The objective of the present study is to investigate the impact of Merger & Acquisition (M&A) deals on the performance of acquirer Turkishcompanies. A total of 62 companies involved in M&A deals between 2003 and 2007 were included in the sample. Analysis of both stock marketand accounting data weakly support the hypothesis that acquirer companies are negatively affected by M&A activities.
