By applying the cartographic method a relation between the areas and population of urban and rural settlements of the Serbia district has been presented as an index of their concentration degree. By constructing the combined sign, a concrete and thematic area has been presented by using a corresponding type of the area - semi-scale. The complete metric coordination and mutual comparability of all series of signs have been attained by the proportional constructing of the thematic map contents. %K concentrations %K population %K cartography %K area - semi-scale %U http://www.doiserbia.nb.rs/img/doi/0350-7599/2007/0350-75990756147J.pdf
