%X The Pastoral is a dance drama, transformed into a secular-religious syncretism that is wellreceived particularly in the Northeast of Brazil taking root in new re-constructions of characterslike the Old Master and the foreman of ballet. This paper aims to understand the body anddemeanor of popular dance, in especially dance of Pastoral.
