Estos han sido etiquetados como: el mito del determinismo tecnol車gico, el mito de la disoluci車n urbana, el mito del acceso universal, el mito de la simple substituci車n del transporte por las telecomunicaciones y el mito de la falta de poder local. Cada uno de ellos ser芍 tratado por separado y para cada uno hay un intento de construir, sobre la base de investigaciones recientes, perspectivas m芍s sofisticadas sobre las relaciones ciudad-telecomunicaciones This article attempts to debunk five prevailing myths which together are implicit in much of the current debate and rhetoric surrounding telecommunications and the future of cities. These are labelled: the myth of the technological determinism, the myth of urban dissolution, the myth of universal access, the myth of the simple substitution of transport by telecommunications, and the myth of local powerlessness.
