%X En este trabajo se da cuenta de las caracter赤sticas generales de los textos expositivos, espec赤ficamente descriptivos, del per赤odo colonial, contextualizando su proceso escriturario, para luego centrar la exposici車n en la implicancia que tienen para el estudio del l谷xico dentro del marco de un proceso de criollizaci車n del habla hispana, se alando algunos de los 芍mbitos en los cuales este proceso es f芍cilmente detectable. Se tratan con cierta detenci車n las caracter赤sticas de la criollizaci車n ling邦赤stica y su relaci車n con la formaci車n del dialecto en sus aspectos l谷xicos m芍s centrales, ejemplificando la teor赤a con casos de la "Cr車nica" de Ger車nimo de Bibar. This article analyses the general features of expository texts, descriptive specifically, from the colonial period in the context of its writing process. Then the interest centres on the implications these texts have in the study of lexis within the process of creolization of the Spanish speech, indicating a few areas where the process is easily noticed. The features of this process are dealt in some detail together with the shaping of the dialect in its most basic aspects, exemplifying the theoretical aspects with instances from Ger車nimo de Bibar's "Cr車nica.
