%X Este trabajo analiza la postura de la Iglesia Metodista Episcopal de M谷xico ante la revoluci車n maderista de 1910 a trav谷s de su 車rgano oficial. Se propone que el posicionamiento adoptado por la denominaci車n ante la revoluci車n fue un reflejo de su limitada capacidad para flexibilizar sus estructuras eclesiales. En 迆ltima instancia, esto no s車lo le impidi車 convertirse en un actor revolucionario, despu谷s de la Revoluci車n tampoco pudo mantener sus espacios en el campo religioso. This work analyzes the position of the Episcopal Methodist Church of Mexico regarding the 1910 Madero revolution, through its official organ. This article suggests that the position adopted by the denomination in the face of the revolution reflected its limited capacity to make its ecclesiastical structures more flexible. In the last analysis this prevented it not only from becoming a revolutionary actor but also from maintaining its spaces in the religious sphere after the Revolution.
