Bacterial Vaginosis was detected by both Gram stain and compound criteria in 30 women. The prevalence was 37.5%. Gram stain provides a simple and inexpensive method for laboratory confirmation of bacterial vaginosis where facilities for using the compound criteria are not available. %K Adult %K Aged %K Comparative Study %K Female %K Human %K Middle Age %K Prevalence %K Prospective Studies %K Vaginosis %K Bacterial %K diagnosis %K epidemiology %K microbiology %U http://www.jpgmonline.com/article.asp?issn=0022-3859;year=1993;volume=39;issue=2;spage=72;epage=3;aulast=Saharan
