%0 Journal Article %T CHAUPI AMCA: TAKISCANTARI RUMICUNAMANDA %A SERGIO ANDR¨¦S SANDOVAL %J Espa£¿o Amer¨ªndio %D 2011 %I Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul %X This article studies the myths of the goddess Chaupi amca in the Andeanmanuscript from the seventeen century, written in the region of Huarochiri (today Peru), andtheir relation with ritual, feminine, geographic and divine conceptions of the native cultures.The mythic figure of Chaupi amca, as mother, huaca and stone, is related to the Chaucosmadances, the aboriginal resistance and the fertility rituals. Based on the approximation to wordsand concepts from the quechua language, the objects of study are the chapters dedicated to thisAndean goddess that symbolizes sexuality, fertility and woman. Finally, the article proposes apath of investigation about the Andean thought, the writing and the mythology in the anonymousmanuscript of Huarochiri.El presente art¨ªculo estudia los mitos de la diosa Chaupi amca en el manuscritoquechua del siglo XVII, escrito en la regi¨®n de Huarochir¨ª (hoy Per¨²), y su relaci¨®n con lasconcepciones rituales, femeninas, geogr¨¢ficas y divinas de las culturas andinas. La figuram¨ªtica de Chaupi amca, como madre, huaca y piedra, est¨¢ vinculada con los bailes deChaucosma, la resistencia ind¨ªgena y los rituales de fertilidad. A partir de la aproximaci¨®n apalabras, t¨¦rminos y conceptos quechuas, se estudian los cap¨ªtulos dedicados a esta diosaandina que simboliza la sexualidad, la fertilidad y la mujer.
