%0 Journal Article %T Investigation of Pre-service Teachers¡¯ Attitudes towards Teaching Profession in a Teaching Formation Certification Program(SD¨¹ Sample) %A Hasan H¨¹seyin £¿ZKAN %J Journal of Kirsehir Education Faculty %D 2012 %I Ahi Evran University %X In this study, pre-service teachers¡¯ attitudes towards teaching profession were examined using different variables. The results reveals that, pre-service teacher candidates are interested in the teaching profession, enjoyed teaching profession, and have a higher level of commitment to teaching profession. Moreover pre-service teachers¡¯ attitudes toward the professional responsibility and the social reputation of the teaching profession were positive according to the data analyzed. There is significant difference were found in terms of the interest of teaching profession, enjoying the profession, Professional commitment in terms of participants¡¯ age and working in a job. However, there is no significant difference found according to the level of education, their graduation area, and the job sector.
