According to a first, less radical reading there are distinct practical ideas for each particular thing, whereas a more radical interpretation holds that ideas, in the strict sense of the term, are primarily ideas of individuals. Our goal is th show that, although Aquinas claims that God knows everything, including particulars, the doctrine of ideas as he conceives of it is too narrow to allow his Aristotelian convictions regarding the knowability of particulars to fully express themselves. %K Aquinas %K Ideas %K Particulars %K Singular %K Species %K Divine knowledge %K Aristotelianism %K Platonism %U http://ojs.c3sl.ufpr.br/ojs2/index.php/doispontos/article/view/20121
