%0 Journal Article %T Analysis of PSO and Hybrid PSO in Calculation of Epileptic Risk Level in EEG %A Dr.R.Harikumar %A T.Vijayakumar %A R.Kasthuri %J International Journal of Soft Computing & Engineering %D 2013 %I International Journal of Soft Computing & Engineering %X The main aim of this paper is to compare andanalyze the performance of the PSO algorithm and the hybridPSO output in determining the epileptic risk level for the givenElectroencephalogram signal inputs. Various parameters likeenergy, variance, peaks, sharp and spike waves, duration, eventsand covariance are calculated from the EEG signals. The twooptimization technique has been used for classifying the risk levelof the given inputs and the efficacy of the above two methods havebeen analyzed and compared using mean square error and qualityvalue. 20 patients input are taken for analysis in both methods incalculation of risk level.
