DFIG consists of a common induction generator with slipring and a partial scale power electronic converter. Indirect fieldorientedcontroller is applied to rotor side converter for activepower control and voltage regulation of wind turbine. On gridside PQ control scheme is applied. Wind turbine and its controlunits are described in details and also for STATCOM control. Allpower system components are simulated in MATLAB/SIMULINK software. For studying the performance ofcontroller, different abnormal conditions are applied even theworst case. Simulation results prove that the performance ofSTATCOM and DFIG control schemes as improving powerquality and stability of wind turbine. %K STATCOM %K PQ control theory %K induction machine %K PWM %K crowbar %K rotor side controller %K grid side controller %K DFIG %K wind turbine. %U http://www.ijsce.org/attachments/File/v2i6/F1131112612.pdf
