%X The economization is a very important area of business processes and successful management¡¯s activity. It is well known that Hungarian industry should import significant parts of primary commodities and energy sources. Oftentimes, the specific material utilization can be planed and assessed based on specific material utilization coefficients, not by norms. The paper shows the economical questions of material utilization, and methods to determine specific material utilization coefficients.
