From the phytochemical studies, alkaloids, flavonoids, gums, reducing sugars, tannins were detected in the methanolic extract of Mallotusroxburghianus Muell. The antioxidant activities of the plant was studied by carrying out various assayssuch as: Superoxide anion scavenging activity assay, Hydroxyl radical scavenging activity assay, Nitricoxide scavenging activity assay, Hydroxyl radical scavenging activity assay, Hydrogen peroxidescavenging activity assay, Reducing power assay and DPPH radical scavenging activity. Our studiesreveal that the methanol extract of Mallotus roxburghianus leaves exhibited antioxidant activities in thein vitro studies. %K Mallotus roxburghianus Muell %K Zawngtenawhlung %K phytochemical constituents %K in vitro antioxidant activity %U http://www.ijrpsonline.com/pdf/0207.pdf
