%X Se analiza la evoluci車n de la colectividad espa ola de Valpara赤so durante el per赤odo 1880-1950 a partir de la informaci車n que entregan los archivos del Registro Civil y los archivos notariales, en donde se han revisado los testamentos de los miembros de la colectividad durante los a os se alados. La incorporaci車n de este 迆ltimo archivo complementa la tradicional informaci車n demogr芍fica entregando interesantes antecedentes que humanizan en forma sustantiva el conocimiento del grupo en estudio. Los setenta a os analizados permiten advertir la evoluci車n que experimenta el grupo en aspectos socioecon車micos, como tambi谷n en su comportamiento demogr芍fico que se identifica m芍s con las estructuras europeas que con las latinoamericanas. Igualmente, los niveles de integraci車n del colectivo en la sociedad receptora van en aumento a trav谷s del per赤odo, en virtud del fuerte predominio masculino y pese a la fuerte conducta endog芍mica del grupo. We analyze the evolution of the Spanish community of Valparaiso during the 1880-1950 period, based on the information provided by the Civil Registry files and notarial archives, where wills have been reviewed from members of the community over the indicated years. The incorporation of these documents complements traditional demographic information providing interesting information which humanize a substantive knowledge of the group studied. The seventy years analyzed reveal the evolution experienced by the socio-economic group as well as demographic behavior, which is closer to European than Latin American structures. Similarly, levels of collective integration into the host society are increasing throughout the period under strong male predominance, and despite strong inbreeding behavior of the group.
