%X Instrumental reason, dominance of nature and modernity: the Critical Theory of Max Horkheimer and Theodor Adorno Guido Galafassi The objective of this paper is to analyze the critical theory of Max Horkheimer and Theodor Adorno taking into account the importance that these authors gave to the analysis of scientific positivism as a form of dominance of society and nature. Therefore, it is important to study the process that transforms reason as a form of approaching the whole into reason as a mere instrument of manipulation.
