%X History and memory are not equivalent terms, still less when they point a past marked by exclusion and injustice. If history tends to reduce that past according to the criterion of scientific objectivity, memory marks his critical actuality. So the tension raised by an episode as the Spanish exile of 1939. Some reflections of three emblematic philosophers of that exile as Eugenio ¨ªmaz, Mar¨ªa Zambrano and Adolfo S¨¢nchez V¨¢zquez, are illuminating in this way. Written at moments and contexts so much significant as the pos-war, the second Franquism and the horizon of democratic Spain, they suggest excellent hermeneutic keys to state a memory of exile. Historia y memoria no son t¨¦rminos equivalentes, menos a¨²n cuando apuntan hacia un pasado atravesado por la exclusi¨®n y la injusticia. Si lo primero tiende a reducir ese pasado en t¨¦rminos de objetividad cient¨ªfica, lo segundo pone el acento en su actualidad cr¨ªtica. Tal es la tensi¨®n que suscita el rescate de un episodio como el exilio espa ol de 1939. Algunas reflexiones de tres pensadores emblem¨¢ticos del mismo como Eugenio ¨ªmaz, Mar¨ªa Zambrano y Adolfo S¨¢nchez V¨¢zquez resultan iluminadoras en este sentido. Escritas en momentos y contextos tan significativos como la posguerra, el llamado segundo franquismo y el horizonte de la Espa a democr¨¢tica, sugieren claves hermen¨¦uticas relevantes a la hora de plantear una memoria del exilio.
