%X El objetivo del presente texto es abordar algunos factores y condiciones que favorecen u obstaculizan la rendici車n de cuentas por parte de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil, y examinar las modalidades en que se practica. Aborda la relaci車n de variables externas -marco legal y acceso al financiamiento- y variables internas -el tama o, la profesionalizaci車n- con la rendici車n de cuentas. Analiza informaci車n proveniente de un cuestionario aplicado a organizaciones integrantes del Centro Mexicano para la Filantrop赤a (Cemefi), que desempe an su labor en el Distrito Federal. The purpose of this text is to explore certain factors and conditions that help or hinder accountability by civil society organizations and to examine the ways in which this accountability is practiced. The article examines the relationship between external variables -legal framework and access to funding- and internal variables -size, professionalization- and accountability. It analyzes information from a questionnaire applied to organizations affiliated to the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi) which operates in Mexico City.
