%X In 1842, following the creation of the department of Beni, its native inhabitants obtained the citizenship. Through legislation enacted during the XIXth Century, this paper aims to examine the strategies, activities and institutions of this population in relation to the exercise of constitutional rights in the access in the local government and the property of the land. En 1842, la creaci車n del departamento del Beni implic車 la extensi車n de la ciudadan赤a a sus habitantes, en su gran mayor赤a ind赤genas. A trav谷s de la legislaci車n sancionada a lo largo del sigo XIX, se analizan las estrategias, actividades e instituciones de esta poblaci車n en relaci車n al ejercicio de las garant赤as constitucionales en el 芍mbito sociopol赤tico 〞gobierno local〞 y en el socioecon車mico 〞propiedad de la tierra.
