Bioinformatics is about searchingbiological databases, comparing sequences, looking at protein structures, and solving biological andbiomedical problems using a computer. Huge amount of online bioinformatics tools and data are available,so systems integration has become very important for further progress. Today, bioinformatics hosts heavilyon the Web. But the Web is geared towards human interaction rather than automated processing. Theapproach of a Semantic Web facilitates this automation by annotating web content and by applyingadequate reasoning languages. Semantic Web infrastructure utilizes the scalable Oracle ResourceDescription Framework (RDF) Data Model as the repository and Seamark Navigator for browsing andsearching the data. %K Integrative Bioinformatics %K Systems integration %K Semantic Web %K Biological databases %K Oracle RDF Data Model %K Seamark Navigator %U http://www.bioinfo.in/uploadfiles/12695771282_1_11_IJBR.pdf
