%X Several variables of the model, sex, social class, and presence or. absence of re¨ªnforcement, were studied in two s¨ªtuat¨ªons, one of voluntary imitation and the other one of imitative learn¨ªng, The Ss were upper middle class children. The results indicated that voluntary imita" tion is influenced by the social class of the model, and by the ¨ªnteract¨ªonof social class and sex of the modelo In imitative learning, on thie othen hand, it was found an interaction between sex, social class, and reinforcing properties of the modeI.
