%X La revisi車n de algunos cuadernos hist車ricos de Medicina, tesis de grado y otros art赤culos cient赤ficos tuvo como objetivo describir diferentes proce-dimientos de variolaci車n, utilizados por la Humanidad hasta el advenimiento de la vacuna contra la viruela. Consideramos que la variolaci車n constituy車 un incentivo importante en el advenimiento de otro proceder m芍s inocuo, seguro y eficaz: la vacunaci車n. The review of some historical Medicine papers, thesis and other scientific documents, had as an objective, to describe different process of variolization utilised by mankind untill the upcoming of the smallpox vaccine. We consider that variolization was an important incentive in the upcoming of another procedure, harmless and efficacious: vaccination.
