%X El objetivo principal del estudio fue analizar las actitudes hacia la educaci¨®n multicultural de un grupo de estudiantes chilenos de pedagog¨ªa. El dise o fue exploratorio, descriptivo y correlaciona! Participaron 117 individuos de 17 a 33 a os, a los que se les administr¨® la Escala de Actitudes hacia la Educaci¨®n Multicultural (Cabrera, Esp¨ªn, Mar¨ªn & Rodr¨ªguez, 1997a). Los resultados indicaron que el instrumento present¨® propiedades psicom¨¦tricas aceptables y que las actitudes de los individuos mostraron una tendencia favorable, excepto en la variable multiculturalidad negativa. No obstante, un n¨²mero importante de participantes mostr¨® una actitud intermedia, la cual podr¨ªa indicar un prejuicio sutil. Se observaron mejores actitudes en las mujeres y en los individuos que se han relacionado con personas inmigrantes. The principal objective of the study was to analyze attitudes towards multicultural education in a group of Chileans student teachers. The design was exploratory, descriptive and correlational. One-hundred and seventeen individuals aged 17 to 33 participated and were given the Multicultural Education Scale of Attitudes (Cabrera, Esp¨ªn, Mar¨ªn & Rodr¨ªguez, 1997a). Results indicated that the selected instrument presented acceptable psychometric properties and the individuals' attitudes showed a favorable trend, with the exception of the variable named negative multiculturality. However, a significant number of individuals showed intermediate attitudes, which could indicate subtle prejudice. Better attitudes were observed among women and in individuals who have been associated with immigrants.
