El autor estudia la producci車n de series de ficci車n hist車rica entre 2008-2009 y describe sus funciones para crear una imagen de la reciente historia espa ola. El art赤culo pretende definir las caracter赤sticas del g谷nero y el proceso de producci車n de significaciones culturales e hist車ricas. This paper aims to rethink the role of historical fiction in national Spanish televisi車n, through the analysis of various programmes. The author studies the production of historical fiction series between 2008-2009, and describes their functions to cr谷ate a self-image of recent Spanish history. This article attemps to define this genre's characteristics and the process and the production of cultural and historical significations.
